About the Role

We are seeking a Production & Inventory Control Specialist to support manufacturing operations for a growing company in the power electronics industry. This role is critical to ensuring production schedules are met, inventory is accurate, and materials are available to support on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable using an ERP system-ideally Sage X3-to manage production planning, inventory control, and purchasing activities. You'll work cross-functionally with Assembly, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Location: Minnetonka, MN (100% On-Site)
  • Pay: Ideal range of $27-$30/hour; open to exceeding this range for strong, relevant experience.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (option to leave early Fridays at 4:00 PM)
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability
  • Issue, release, track, and close manufacturing work orders within Sage X3
  • Manage and monitor raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Execute purchasing activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and delivery tracking
  • Maintain accurate item master data, bills of material (BOMs), routings, lead times, and planning parameters
  • Identify material shortages, coordinate expediting efforts, and communicate production priorities
  • Partner closely with Assembly, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to support efficient manufacturing operations

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in an ERP system within a manufacturing environment
  • Sage X3 experience required (2+ years ideal)
  • Background in production planning, inventory control, purchasing, or manufacturing coordination
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams
  • Comfortable working fully on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
